Welcome to Brakenwood Glades Estate, where the tradition of pheasant shooting is preserved.

You can start your journey in front of the gamekeeper's house and then stroll along our muddy paths that lead from one drive to another. Alternatively, you can select a starting point from the Estate Map and begin directly at one of the Pegs.

Today, the estate is yours and yours alone.

Destination Overview
Wingshooting at Brakenwood Glades Estate
When we think about wingshooting in the UK, the driven pheasant tradition naturally comes to mind — a hallmark of the countryside, steeped in ritual and camaraderie. For this fictional destination, I set out to recreate that experience in the fall and winter months, capturing the essence of a classic English estate: muddy trails winding through oak woods, crisp morning air, beaters calling in the distance, and birds breaking over the treetops in dramatic flushes.
